HONORS
Much of my artistic life has been devoted to poetry. I am an awarding-winning poet with books published by the University of Pittsburgh Press and the University of Massachusetts Press, and numerous literary journals. I am a retired Distinguished Professor of Literature at Eastern Connecticut State University. A few of the awards I’ve received in the last decade include, among others, The Yeats Prize, The Emily Dickinson Prize, a Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Associated Writing Program Series Award in Poetry, the X. J. Kennedy Prize and a residency at The Frost Place.
